enquiries.

Statements were taken from these people when CHAN CHOI

Japanese crew on board the motor boat in moving the cargoes from

the small boats to the two large cargo junks. He further stated

that he was instructed to sell some cargo consisting of some

tarpoes, sweet potatoes, turnips and firewood in Hong Kong and to

bring the proceeds back to the Japanese on his next outward

trip. This part of the cargo has now been sold and realized

$19.72, this money now awaits a claimant.

On 23.1.40. I visited these two cargo boats and on

finding the cargo to be of a perishable nature gave permission

for the owners to dispose of it. I was satisfied that the bulk

of the cargo had not been stolen.

CHAN TONG has also been permitted to dispose of his

cargo of dried ducks.

As will be seen from the statements of CHAN TONG and

PUN KAM LUN two armed robberies have been committed by this

Japanese motor boat in British waters.

cargo agents by the HANG FAT Transportation Coy whose office is

situated on the 3rd floor of the Bank of East Asia Building.
